Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (E&I) Specialist in California. You will bridge field maintenance and system engineering, leading capital projects, authoring documentation, and developing PLC/SCADA logic while remaining hands-on for critical plant repairs and commissioning.

Requirements include 8–10 years in process control, an engineering/tech diploma, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in electronic engineering/technology or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in process control.
• Preferred professional certifications (ISA CCST or Journeyman Electrician).

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electrical/control systems for the plant.
• Program, configure PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems to optimize processes.
• Lead commissioning of new equipment and document system designs.
• Prepare as-built diagrams, maintenance reports, and lifecycle docs.
• Ensure OSHA/regulatory safety conformity during outages and upgrades.
• Provide emergency technical support for critical plant repairs.
