Job summary

Veolia is seeking an E&I Specialist to bridge field maintenance and system engineering within our Water Technology division in the U.S. You will design, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electrical and automated control systems, lead capital projects, and author documentation while remaining hands-on for critical repairs and commissioning.

You will program PLCs/DCS/HMI systems, lead plant outages with contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in Electronic Engineering/Technology or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in process control.
• Preferred certifications: ISA CCST or Journeyman Electrician License.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics for new installations or equipment moves.
• Design, program, and configure PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley) to optimize processes.
• Perform high-level electrical tasks including wiring, power distribution, and metering/signaling devices.
• Lead commissioning of new equipment and facilities, ensuring instrumentation meets specifications.
• Prepare system design diagrams and maintenance reports; produce as-built documentation.
• Set safety and environmental compliance standards, including spill response and arc flash protocols.
