Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior E&I Estimator responsible for oversight and preparation of lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates to support proposals and project changes. You will lead pre-construction activities and coordinate estimating across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies and ensures content is complete and accurate.
• Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyze all aspects of estimates.
• Direct, train and develop subordinates.
• Maintain the Company estimating database.
• Coordinate estimates with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager for all levels of estimates.
• Appraise overall accuracy of estimates and recommend contingencies.
• Ensure orderly flow of project assignments within budgets.
• Assist Estimating leadership with independent assessment of estimate accuracy.
• Recommend detailed estimating procedures and techniques.
