Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an Electrical Estimator to prepare and review various estimates (lump sum, unit rate, cost plus). You will participate in pre-construction activities, scope review, and risk assessment to shape project work packages.

The role offers exposure to field engineering, project management, and startup activities across power and industrial markets. A BS/MS in Construction Management or related field is preferred, with strong cost-control and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including some estimating experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding may include: background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual estimating, cost analysis, and estimate coordination.
• Review design scope and develop quantities.
• Perform productivity analyses and contingency/escalation calculations.
• Prepare and present estimate basis; update historical cost data.
• Review designs/specifications for cost effectiveness and propose alternatives.
