Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an Estimator to assist in preparing and reviewing lump-sum, unit-rate, and cost-plus estimates, and to support pre-construction activities. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines and ensure estimates reflect project scopes.

You’ll review designs, develop quantities, analyze productivity, and update historical cost data while contributing to risk assessments and contingency planning for bids across power, water, and industrial markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Pre-employment checks may be required (background/drug/DMV).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and consolidate discipline estimates into the Proposal Estimate.
• Review design scopes and develop quantities.
• Performs productivity analysis of construction operations.
• Prepares contingency, escalation and reconciliation for estimates.
• Performs comparisons of scope, quantities and cost data between projects.
• Updates and maintains historical cost data.
• Reviews designs and specifications for cost effectiveness.
• Supports continuous improvement and change management.
