Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Estimator to lead lump sum, unit rate and cost‑plus estimates. The role supports proposals and project controls, coordinating across disciplines.

The position requires 10+ years in estimating with strong cost analysis, critical thinking, and mentoring abilities, traveling as needed. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity in a multi‑city footprint with ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Field experience (2+ yrs) and project experience (2+ yrs) are preferred.
• Cost control and scheduling exposure is a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate and review all aspects of estimates and presentations.
• Direct, train and develop subordinate staff within the estimating function.
• Maintain the estimating database and support project controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction on estimating factors.
