Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced structure aircraft mechanics to support a maintenance program in Lake Charles, LA. This role requires extensive knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and structural repair.

You will work with manuals, drawings, and test equipment to diagnose and repair complex components, utilizing a broad toolkit and following safety protocols in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and minimum 10 years relevant experience.
• Ability to travel and work in hangar, flight line, shop, and outdoor environments.
• Must wear respirator or safety gear as required.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, shift work, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, components and engines.
• Reads and interprets manuals, bulletins, and drawings to determine repair methods.
• Provide technical support to engineers and customers.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to locate faults.
• Use a variety of hand tools and test equipment for repairs.
