Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Lake Charles, LA is looking for a SCA Aircraft Worker to support a maintenance program. Responsibilities include repairs, troubleshooting, part replacement, and maintenance inspections on E-6B/707 platforms used for long-range patrol and TACAMO missions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience or A&P training, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, plus 1 year of relevant experience or additional technical education such as A&P.
Able to work in an approved environment during specified hours.
Willing to travel and relocate as needed.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Makes repairs to aircraft following orders of higher grade worker.
Assists in troubleshooting malfunctions in aircraft structure and systems.
Removes or replaces defective parts and fittings.
Supervises jacking and towing of aircraft.
Makes adjustments to cable tension and seat movements.
Obtains standard parts from manuals and samples.
Performs pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
Records maintenance descriptions in logs.
