Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Lake Charles, LA, is seeking an SCA Aircraft Mechanic Helper to support a Navy E-6/E-6B maintenance program. You will assist in servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and engines, and help prepare parts, tools and planes for inspection and flight.

• Ability to relay and receive information and to collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists Aircraft Mechanic in servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and engines.
• Replaces parts and assists in inspection and repair access.
• Assists in towing, jacking, and disconnecting systems and instruments.
• Supports dismantling, repair, and replacement of engines, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
• Cleans and prepares aircraft and components and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
• Assists in moving and handling materials and tools to support maintenance tasks.
• May assist flight line staff and service crews prior to flight.
