Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced aircraft mechanics for Lake Charles, LA, supporting a Navy E-6B platform. These roles are Service Contract Act positions, currently unfunded, and may be hired for any shift.

Primary duties include repairs, inspections, and maintenance of complex aircraft systems in a dynamic field environment. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 10+ years of relevant experience, and may possess an A&P license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
• Must be able to wear respirator or safety gear.
• Ability to work in hangar/flight line, outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs aircraft systems components and engines.
• Reads maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine repair methods.
• Repair/modify aircraft sheet metal and structural components.
• Use tools and equipment to install wiring and electrical components.
• Provide technical support to engineers and customers.
• Supervise jacking and towing of aircraft as needed.
