Job summary

CTS International seeks a senior DSP Algorithms Engineer to join its Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems teams in El Segundo, CA. You will design and develop space-based communication systems for national defense and commercial programs.

As a lead/senior engineer you will lead teams, develop multi-rate signal processing algorithms, perform trade studies, and support integration and test of payloads and spacecraft. Experience with FPGAs/ASICs and HDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, physics, math, data science, or computer science.
• Experience in DSP / digital communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling).
• 3+ years with Matlab or Simulink.
• 5+ years in digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years in systems engineering (requirements, allocation, verification, architecture).
• 1+ years with FPGAs or ASICs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Perform waveform development and characterization.
• Perform trade studies.
• Support integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations.
• Support HDL-level design and verification.
• Perform detailed system design and verification activities.
• Lead teams.
• Lead R&D activities.
