Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Lead or Senior DSP Algorithms Engineer for a premier aerospace and defense client in El Segundo, CA. You will design and implement space-based communication systems and lead technical efforts across the lifecycle from concept through in-orbit operations.

Requirements include a BS in engineering or related field, 3+ years in DSP and digital communications, 5+ years in the field, and 1+ year with FPGAs/ASICs, plus experience with MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline (Engineering, CS, Math, etc).
• 3+ years in DSP and digital communications algorithms.
• 5+ years in digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years of systems engineering (requirements, allocation, verification, architecture, trade studies).
• 1+ years with FPGAs and/or ASICs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Lead engineering teams and technical efforts.
• Lead Internal Research & Development initiatives.
• Support integration and testing of payloads and spacecraft from unit-level to in-orbit operations.
• Perform HDL-level design and verification.
• Conduct trades studies and system evaluations.
