Job summary

CTS International seeks a DSP Algorithms Engineer (Lead or Senior) to design and develop space-based communication systems in El Segundo, CA. You will lead a motivated team and interface with customers and engineers across the lifecycle from concept through testing.

The role emphasizes DSP methods, RF/ digital payload development, and hands-on verification with MATLAB/Simulink, FPGA/ASICs, and lab equipment. This is a senior, space-focused opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience in DSP / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, turbo/viterbi coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory).
• 3+ years with MATLAB or Simulink.
• 5+ years in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years in systems engineering (requirements, allocation, verification, architecture design).
• 1+ years working with FPGAs or ASICs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Developing and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conducting performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Performing waveform development and characterization.
• Performing trade studies.
• Supporting integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations.
• Supporting HDL-level design and verification.
• Performing detailed system design and verification activities.
• Leading teams.
• Leading IR&D activities.
