Job summary

ConstructionExecs in the Dallas, GA area seeks a Senior Estimator with extensive drywall estimating experience to lead the bid process from invitation through proposal submission. You will own estimating responsibilities from day one and work with a developing preconstruction team to deliver accurate, competitive estimates for commercial drywall projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience estimating commercial drywall projects.
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings.
• Ability to independently perform and manage detailed construction takeoffs.
• Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of labor productivity, material costs, and project pricing.
• Experience preparing estimates for competitive commercial construction bids.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for commercial drywall construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Prepare accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Develop comprehensive and competitive project proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, potential risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Participate in bid reviews and provide estimating recommendations.
• Support and mentor junior estimators and takeoff personnel.
• Work closely with preconstruction and operations leadership to ensure accurate project handoffs.
