Job summary

ConstructionExecs in Dallas, GA seeks a Senior Drywall Estimator to lead commercial project estimates from bid invitation through proposal submission. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of estimating activities and mentoring junior estimators within an established preconstruction team.

You will review drawings and specs, perform detailed takeoffs, compile labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs, and develop competitive project proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems (metal framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings).
• Ability to independently perform detailed takeoffs.
• Experience reviewing architectural drawings and specs.
• Solid understanding of labor, material costs and project pricing.
• Experience preparing competitive commercial bids.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a larger preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for commercial drywall projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents for accuracy.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Develop comprehensive, competitive project proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from materials and subs.
• Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Participate in bid reviews and provide estimating recommendations.
• Mentor junior estimators and takeoff personnel.
• Ensure accurate project handoffs with preconstruction and operations teams.
