Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience.
• Proven experience completing takeoffs and estimates on $500K+ commercial projects.

Commercial Drywall Estimator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join their growing estimating team in Dallas.

This is an opportunity for an estimator who understands the complexity of large commercial drywall projects and can independently perform detailed takeoffs and develop accurate estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating commercial projects valued at $500K or more and understand how project size and complexity impact labor, sequencing, materials, and overall pricing.

This is not a traditional Estimator/Project Manager hybrid role. The primary focus is estimating and preconstruction, with a meaningful client-facing and business development component.

What You'll Do

• Perform detailed takeoffs and estimates for commercial drywall projects

• Review blueprints, specifications, architectural drawings, and project documents

• Develop accurate material, labor, and production estimates

• Analyze project scope, complexity, sequencing, and constructability

• Prepare competitive bids and proposals for large commercial projects

• Work on projects ranging from $500K+ and larger

• Communicate directly with general contractors and clients throughout the estimating process

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key general contractors

• Participate in client meetings and business development activities

• Turn estimates over effectively once projects are awarded

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and project expectations

• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a high-volume environment

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience

• Proven experience completing takeoffs and estimates on $500K+ commercial projects

• Strong understanding of commercial drywall construction and labor sequencing
