Job summary

Astro Interior Contracting seeks an experienced Chief Estimator to lead and grow our estimating efforts for commercial drywall and interior construction in the Atlanta market. The candidate should have 8+ years of proven estimating experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering accurate bids and profitable proposals.

The role requires deep knowledge of drywall systems, interior scope, and the ability to coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years estimating experience in commercial drywall and interior construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, labor, and materials.
• Experience estimating commercial projects of various sizes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commercial drywall and interior construction projects.
• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate material, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare competitive and profitable proposals.
• Identify project scope, exclusions, and potential risks.
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with project management and company leadership.
• Assist with improving estimating processes and procedures.
• Help mentor and support other members of the estimating team.
