Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director, Drug Development Project Manager in Princeton, NJ. This role partners with GPL and GPMT to co-lead strategic program planning across a Global Program Team, ensuring timely milestones, budgets, and resources for early and/or late development.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage governance interactions, and drive operational excellence in development programs, shaping strategy with minimal supervision and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. desirable) in Life Sciences or related field; PMP desirable.
• 10+ years of biotech/pharma experience; project/portfolio leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record in planning and managing complex development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead sub-teams to drive integrated program execution plans.
• Coordinate GPT milestones, budgets, and resources across cross-functional inputs.
• Facilitate goal setting and tracking for end-of-year evaluations.
• Maintain GPT governance readiness and prepare for governance interactions.
• Develop cross-functional development plans with timelines and budgets.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Coach PM team members to drive excellence and knowledge transfer.
