Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) seeks a City Research Scientist to steward Drug Checking Program data, conduct analyses with R/REDCap, and advance reporting to public health audiences across NYC.

You will design novel analytic methods, prepare IRB materials, and mentor a Drug Checking Data Analyst to inform policy and practice for reducing drug-related morbidity and mortality in New York City.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data steward for the Drug Checking Program data and lead analyses using R, REDCap, Excel and other tools.
• Design and develop new analytical methods to inform program directions.
• Create data management documentation including data dictionaries and codebooks.
• Prepare and disseminate data tables, reports, and manuscripts for diverse audiences.
