Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Service Engineer to enhance reliability across drone operations within Amazon's fulfillment networks.

You will partner with design engineering and operations to translate field data into actionable system improvements, leading cross-functional investigations and delivering engineering solutions for high-volume hardware deployments. The role requires strong communication skills, hands-on prototyping, and experience across mechanical design, testing, and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
• Hands on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
• Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume.
• Experience with full product lifecycle and proficiency at completing tasks to meet milestones.

Responsibilities

• Investigate drone system performance for anomalies and deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations.
• Lead cross-functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics.
• Develop innovative hardware designs for our emerging drone systems and improve existing hardware to optimize performance and enhance customer experience.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burdens.
• Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth product launch and sustaining.
• Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners.
