Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician for Prime Air to maintain drone fleets at the Sparrow Point operation. You will work with engineering and flight operations to keep aircraft in safe condition and to train the Repair Technician team on site.

Role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and travel up to 25%. Includes shift flexibility, weekend/holiday work, and safety-focused practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel).
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Own fleet performance metrics.
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory.
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians.
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians.
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations.
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals.
