Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician in Memphis, TN to maintain drone fleets for commercial operations. You will ensure aircraft conform to design, operate safely, and train the Repair Technician team at the site, collaborating with engineering and flight operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mechanical/electrical integration, ability to lift 50 lbs, travel up to 25%, and experience mentoring others. Willingness to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Travel up to 25% of the time
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Can work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments
• Can show a demonstrated record of good attendance and the ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
• Own fleet performance metrics
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals
