Job summary

Amazon Prime Air in Durham, NC is seeking a Sr. Repair Technician to maintain drone aircraft and ensure safe, compliant operations at the commercial site.

You will drive time-based and condition-based maintenance, own fleet metrics, manage spare parts, and train other technicians while collaborating with engineering and flight operations.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working nights, weekends, holidays, and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office).
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
• Own fleet performance metrics
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
• Train and and mentor other Repair Technicians
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals
