Seattle Public Utilities is seeking a Senior Drainage & Wastewater Planning Engineer to lead capital projects in the Drainage & Wastewater line of business. The role supports the Shape Our Water plan by advancing planning, design, and construction for CSO reduction, sewer capacity improvements, and green stormwater infrastructure.

The position reports to the North Seattle Capital Portfolio Lead and manages multi-project work with internal and consultant teams, with budgets up to approximately

Qualifications

• Five years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Current Washington State driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee civil engineering analysis for prioritized stormwater, wastewater, floodplain restoration, fish passage and CSO projects.
• Serve as a technical subject-matter expert within the DWW Planning and Portfolio Management Division.
• Lead diverse teams, develop project management plans, and coordinate action items and communications.
• Define project requirements, ensure adequate resourcing, and draft scoping statements.
• Negotiate and finalize partnership approaches and funding mechanisms.
