Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or water resources
• Five (5) years of related work experience
• Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within six months
• Certified Floodplain Manager certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Manages the City’s drainage program including drainage CIP projects and stormwater coordination.
• Reviews plans and studies, coordinates with consultants, contractors, and City staff to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provides technical direction to staff and supports planning and zoning processes with drainage and development expertise.
• Oversees private development drainage and floodplain submittals and reviews related analyses.
• Coordinates regulatory compliance with TCEQ, NCTCOG standards, and environmental regulations.
