Job summary

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and evolve the ledger systems behind clients' balances, trading positions, and financial reporting. You will own chart-of-accounts and reconcile data across on-chain and off-chain books, ensuring financial correctness from day one.

Work will be onsite at our NYC office, collaborating with Finance, Data Engineering, and Product to model ownership, pricing, and reconciliation paths before features ship.

Qualifications

• Real working knowledge of accounting fundamentals: double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts, financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend core ledger: accounts, postings, ledger structures.
• Own chart-of-accounts and reporting surface to connect engineering data to financial statements.
• Balance verification, reconciliation, and proof-of-reserve style mechanisms across on-chain/off-chain data.
• Collaborate with Finance, Data Engineering, and Product on shared designs.
• Design data models to absorb new financial products with minimal migrations.
