Job summary

Step Up For Students seeks a Senior Manager, Donor Data & Operations for Step Further to lead donor data strategy, governance, and operations in a remote setting across the United States. The role drives data integrity, analytics, and automation to enhance fundraising performance and donor experiences.

You will partner with fundraising leadership, IT, and vendors to implement scalable systems and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience in relational data management including advanced SQL, fundraising, and donor relations.
• Expertise in Python for data, scripting and automation.
• Proficient in SQL and database management systems with API integration experience.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools; proficient with Excel or Python.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Blackbaud RENXT, Omatic, CharityEngine, Bloomerang, HubSpot, Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
• Understanding of website processes and PCI compliance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor data team, data reporting and processes to provide excellent and timely donor service.
• Coordinate with fundraising leadership to align on campaign goals and donor engagement processes.
• Oversee donor database design, development, security, backup and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and data privacy standards.
• Develop and manage donor data and operations budgets.
• Oversee ETL processes for continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide data automation, queries, reporting tools and predictive modeling using Python and SQL.
• Coordinate with IT on technical, hardware, software, and server administration.
• Collaborate with fundraising team on campaign prep, development and performance tracking.
• Engage with senior leaders to ensure success with partner campaigns.
• Lead vendor RFPs and negotiations for specified features.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance in data-related fundraising activities.
• Research and apply updates; instruct team on new features and processes.
• Assist in donor cultivation and stewardship events.
• Foster a shared vision aligned with core values.
