Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) supports the DOE at Y-12 and the Pantex Plant, with positions for Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative staff. Successful candidates will be AIS employees, working under Y-12 supervision in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Amarillo, Texas.

Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, 18+, able to meet pre-employment requirements including physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigations to satisfy DOE clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15–20 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 14–18 years, or Associate’s with 24+ years.
• DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
• Demonstrated advanced skills in planning and schedule compliance.
• Demonstrated advanced skills in cost control, change management, and variance reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical activities of assigned projects to ensure timely completion.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct activities to meet PM mission requirements.
• Provide technical leadership for planning, scheduling, and reporting across multiple scopes.
• Ensure PMs have tools to confirm projects are on track, within budget, and compliant.
• Manage cost, schedule, and risk plans; collect performance data and forecasts.
• Identify and track changes to project scope and cost; communicate impacts to client and PM.
