Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) seeks engineers and professionals to support the Department of Energy at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. AIS employees operate under Y-12 direction while AIS handles pay, benefits, HR, and employment management.

Qualifications

• US citizen, 18+ years old.
• ABET-accredited Engineering/Physical Science degree required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Pre-employment drug screen and medical examinations may be required.
• Work may require DOE clearance and WSAP testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates configuration management activities and oversees plant system operability and maintenance.
• Collaborates with Configuration Management for assigned system(s).
• Prepares change packages and evaluates impact of proposed modifications.
• Troubleshoots and improves systems and equipment in cooperation with related disciplines.
• Performs system walkdowns, calibration, tests, spare parts evaluations, and turnovers.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or related) from ABET-accredited program in the United States
