Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead engineering, hardening, and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms. This hands-on role requires experience with vulnerability assessment, RMF compliance, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

On-site work is based in North Charleston, SC or Virginia Beach, VA, supporting Navy and DoD customers. You will implement and manage endpoint security, automation, and configuration management, while guiding

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with C4I systems and cybersecurity support.
• DoD Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI/T5; TS/SCI desired.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and secure enterprise Windows and RHEL systems.
• Maintain and enforce baseline configurations.
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter environments.
• Support VDI infrastructure.
• Endpoint & Configuration Management.
• Manage Active Directory and GPOs.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible.
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts to closure.
• Implement endpoint security solutions (Trellix/HBSS/ESS).
• Support RMF activities and continuous monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
• Coordinate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
