Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking aSenior Systems Engineer to lead and execute engineering, hardening, lifecycle management, and security of enterprise Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms. This hands-on role requires DoD IT experience, independent troubleshooting, and remediation leadership in secure DoD environments.

Ideal candidates bring Navy C4I support experience, strong scripting, RMF knowledge, and a track record of implementing DISA STIGs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with C4I systems and cybersecurity support.
• DoD secret clearance or TS/SCI desired; SSBI/T5 in scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• DoD 8570/IAT II certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, and Navy DISA requirements.
• VMware, Microsoft, and Linux enterprise certifications.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and secure enterprise Windows and RHEL systems.
• Maintain and enforce baseline configurations.
• Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter environments.
• Support VDI infrastructure.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible.
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts to closure.
• Ensure RMF compliance with DoD policies.
• Coordinate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Produce technical documentation and reports.
