Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and secure enterprise Windows and Linux platforms in DoD environments. The role involves vulnerability remediation, RMF compliance, and automation work across VMware, AD, and VDI.

Strong DoD experience and security clearances are required. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement baseline configurations, automation, and secure architectures while maintaining documentation and reporting for risk management

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with C4I systems and cybersecurity support.
• DoD Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI/T5 (TS/SCI desired).
• DoD 8140/8570 Certifications to qualify as IAT Level II (e.g. Security+).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience supporting Navy C4I environments.
• VMware, Microsoft, or Linux enterprise certifications.
• Experience in classified environments with privileged access.
• Automation using IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and secure enterprise Windows and RHEL systems.
• Maintain and enforce baseline configurations for enterprise IT.
• Administer VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter environments.
• Support VDI infrastructure and Active Directory with GPOs.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
• Lead vulnerability remediation and RMF compliance efforts.
• Implement endpoint security solutions (Trellix/HBSS/ESS).
• Support RMF activities, control validation, POA&M, and continuous monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
• Produce and review technical documentation and engineering artifacts.
• Coordinate within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
