Job summary

Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Professional to support and provide oversight for DoD and SCI programs from its Herndon, VA office.

This role acts as the lead FSO, ensuring compliance with NISPOM requirements, protecting classified information, and coordinating across multiple security disciplines. The position requires deep experience in DoD/SCI security, knowledge of ICDs, and the ability to guide policy development and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior security role supporting classified programs from collateral through SCI levels.
• Strong knowledge of policies and procedures for protection of classified information using NISPOM, ICDs, and contract guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diligently oversee multiple DOD contracts throughout the full contract lifecycle.
• Provide oversight in Physical Security, Personnel Security, Facility Security, and OPSEC for DoD/SCI programs to protect classified information.
• Oversee investigations of security infractions or violations and report findings to the Director of Industrial Security and the customer.
• Ensure follow-through on corrective actions and program improvements to prevent future incidents.
• Train employees on program classification policies and security procedures.
