Job summary

Systems Technology Forum is seeking a Network Test Engineer to join the DISA program team in Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on designing, testing, and deploying end-to-end network solutions for both unclassified and classified environments, including encryption devices and secure tokens.

The engineer will provide Tier III support, ensure interoperability, and drive documentation for CCBs and deployment plans in a high-security setting.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in network engineering and security
• Type 1 HAIPE encryption devices experience and secure tokens
• Strong routing protocols and IP network design; DoD/DISa program familiarity

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, implement and maintain network engineering solutions.
• Design engineering enhancements, develop engineering change requests and provide documentation for CCB.
• Provide technical expertise in design review, lab testing, test reports, implementation plans and deployment of large-scale DoD networks.
• Support mission partners to satisfy interoperability requirements.
• Design architecture including software, hardware, and communications to support current and future interop needs.
• Evaluate problems in workflows and network usage; develop corrective actions.
• Analyze existing network solutions and make recommendations.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, voice gateways, UC managers.
• Apply system patches and security updates to maintain performance and security.
• Develop test plans, reports, and configuration guides; document troubleshooting steps.
• Provide Tier III on-call support; supervise staff daily.
