Job summary

RMantra Solutions is seeking a network engineer at Fort Meade, MD to support secure configurations, testing, and engineering implementation plans. The role requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and extensive experience in large-scale network environments.

You will collaborate with architects to maintain STIG-compliant baselines, perform incident analysis, and lead network troubleshooting across VPNs, routers, switches, and security devices.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher with 4–8 years of relevant experience; Masters with 2–6 years acceptable.
• Active DoD clearance at Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II within timeframe after starting.
• Knowledge of defense-in-depth, network/security architecture, IP subnetting.
• 4+ years of engineering/troubleshooting networks including MPLS, VPNs, BGP/OSPF.
• Experience deploying Cisco enterprise routing, switching, and firewall devices.
• Ability to travel up to 10%+ OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Network integration, testing, security engineering, and implementation configuration support.
• Collaborate with network architects to define baselines, versioning, and compliance tracking.
• Test and validate automation and best practice insertion opportunities.
• Develop SOPs/TTPS and support CSI initiatives.
• Support system performance tuning and enhancements.
• Create and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP).
• Assist with incident management escalation and RCA activities.
• Participate in engineering meetings to align operations with new production solutions.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and update Cisco devices, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN components.
• Travel up to 10% for OCONUS assignments.
