Lead Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer position in Huntsville, AL, onsite only, supporting aerospace hardware development. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, with hands-on design, GD&T, and Siemens NX proficiency.

Experience with aviation/defense manufacturing, team leadership, and the ability to develop and interpret engineering documentation is essential. Travel up to 25% is possible; security clearance at Secret level is noted.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant mechanical or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Team lead experience and aerospace design exposure.
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and manufacturing engineering for aerospace systems.
• Develop drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Coordinate workflows in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on work with designs, processes and hardware assemblies.
• Create and manage models using Siemens NX; SolidWorks preferred.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards and oversee hardware integration.
• Support instrumentation system design and ensure quality compliance.
