Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International in Texas seeks an Information Systems Security Officer III to safeguard DoD‑related information systems. You will partner with the ISSM and ISO to manage RMF processes, maintain authorization packages, and ensure proper configuration management across boundaries.

This role requires Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, 5–7 years in information security, and a bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years related experience in information security or DoD environments.
• Background in systems, networks, or ISSO roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media are in place.
• Notify ISSM when changes affect the authorization determination.
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.
• Coordinate changes to hardware, software, or firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO prior to the change.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored and functioning.
• Ensure all IS security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required technical and security training relevant to duties.
• Execute the cyber security portion of the self‑inspection and review system assessments.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards.
• Perform ISSO duties in support of in‑house and external customers.
• Conduct continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries.
• Assist DoD, National Agency and Contractor organizations with RMF efforts.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related area

Associate’s degree in a related area + 2 years’ experience or equivalent experience (4 years)
