Job summary

General Dynamics - IT in the UK seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III to ensure the security posture of an information system. You will work with the ISSM and ISO to manage RMF, implement SAP requirements, and oversee day-to-day security operations.

The role requires strong RMF expertise, incident handling, security training, and continuous monitoring across authorization boundaries, with a TS/SCI clearance to start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience, especially in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
• 2+ years SAP experience required.
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with the security authorization package.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM/AO/DAO prior to the change.
• Monitor system recovery to ensure security features are restored.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Audit records collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend technical and security training and execute cyber security self-inspection.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries.
• Assist DoD, National Agency and Contractor organizations with A&A efforts.
