Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer to maintain the secure posture of DoD information systems. You will work with the ISSM and ISO to develop RMF packages and support SAP/SCI environments.

The role emphasizes day-to-day security operations, incident handling, training, and ensuring documentation and audit readiness across collateral and SAP systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience, RMF packages or body of evidence experience preferred.
• SAP experience required.
• Prior roles such as System/Network Administrator or ISSO.

Responsibilities

• Develop physical or logical topologies for a system.
• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, destroying hardware/media.
• Monitor information systems for security compliance.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM/AO/DAO.
• Monitor system recovery and restore security features.
• Maintain current security documentation and audit records.
• Attend required technical/security training.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspections and reviews.
• Identify vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare status reports on security safeguards.
• Perform ISSO duties for internal and external customers.
