Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, has an opening for a Communications Hardware Engineer or Principal Communications Hardware Engineer to join our Avionics Integration Organization onsite in Palmdale. This role involves installation, integration, and testing of military datalink systems on flight test platforms.

You will perform lab and flight test planning, participate in design reviews, and support program communications.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2+ years of related professional/military experience; OR Master’s with 0 years.
Must have experience with Team Center.
Must have working knowledge of US DoD communication systems (RT-1990s ARC-210 Gen 5).
Must be able to travel up to 25% and hold an active US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, integration, check-out, and formal testing of communications and data link systems in military flight test environments.
Perform field troubleshooting and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environments.
Support design reviews and documentation reviews (Interface Control Documents, system/subsystem design docs, Software Installation Procedures).
Conduct laboratory and flight test planning and execution.
