Job summary

The Marvin Group in Southern California is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead program/project engineering across the product development lifecycle for pneumatic, mechanical, and electromechanical components and systems. You will coordinate with Contracts, Manufacturing, and Quality to drive execution and ensure DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering with 7+ years in Aerospace/Defense.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings including GD&T.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in aerospace/defense.
• Experience across engineering product development lifecycle from requirements to production.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to balance engineering detail with program goals (PM mindset).
• Familiarity with SETR events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Experience with pneumatics, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support program/project engineering activities across the product development lifecycle from contract award to production and sustainment.
• Define problem definitions within Engineering Development Programs to meet customer requirements.
• Interface with stakeholders to drive programmatic execution and deliverables.
• Act as primary liaison for program tasks including requirements management, RM, FTA, FMECA, and system safety; qualification testing.
• Collaborate with subcontractors on analyses and development of major system hardware.
• Develop technical understanding to bridge R&D with Contracts, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Support SETR events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with content and action tracking.
