Job summary

Marvin Land Systems, part of The Marvin Group near Los Angeles, seeks a senior Manufacturing Engineer with Mil-DoD and aerospace manufacturing experience. The role focuses on mechanical/electro-mechanical components, large metallic parts, casting and finishing processes, and driving manufacturing planning and tooling to improve cost and time.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering
• 10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Mil-DoD and aerospace manufacturing experience required
• CAD experience in Creo/ProE
• Fluent English reading/writing
• Knowledge of casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication and metal finishing
• Experience writing work instructions and training materials
• Familiar with MIL-STD, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5
• Ability to create and manage Manufacturing Planning
• Capability to write engineering reports and cost analyses
• Microsoft product proficiency
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities

• Support Production to ensure products are built to specifications and engineering documents
• Provide feedback to improve product design for ease of manufacturing, cost and time optimization
• Prepare engineering changes to support manufacturing and quality of parts produced
• Identify and design tooling to aid production processes
• Ensure standardization and compliance to specifications and processes
• Collaborate with customer representatives to determine needs in product repairs and training materials
• Review and approve controlled documents (work instructions, specs, procedures)
• Ensure product documentation aligns with Quality System requirements
• Support MRB activities
• Develop and update manufacturing documentation including BOMs, drawings, tech specs, routes, work instructions, test procedures
• Interact with cross-functional teams
• Provide design engineering support including components & sub-assemblies design, drafting and tolerancing
