Job summary

Columbia Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Documentation Specialist to manage change orders, maintain records, and create production work instructions. You will work with PLM, ERP and MES systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely communication across engineering and production teams.

The role requires attention to detail, 5+ years in documentation control, and comfort with travel as needed. On-site duties at client sites and the plant are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in documentation control and data management roles.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented and fast learner.
• Experience with document management systems including ERP/EPDM (Omnify/EPDM a plus).
• Willing to train production teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support changes and releases of documentation for Manufacturing Engineers including drawings, bills of material, wire run lists, and work instructions.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of data within the change order process.
• Collaborate with originators to resolve discrepancies and compile changes.
• Maintain data in PLM/ERP/MES and other systems.
• Post changes to controlled records and notify affected individuals.
• Develop work instructions for production processes.
• Support collaborative build processes on site or at customer sites.
