Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Data Loss Prevention Engineer to lead an enterprise-wide DLP program within Information Security. You will design and implement policies to detect and protect data and partner with cyber security teams and business stakeholders to shape strategy.

The role requires building metrics, staying ahead of threats, ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS and HIPAA, and guiding standards across the organization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years in information security or data protection.
• Experience in data loss prevention roles and cross-functional collaboration.
• Travel flexibility as required.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build effective DLP policies and rules to protect organizational data.
• Support roadmap and strategy for data protection programs.
• Develop and manage DLP metrics and reporting.
• Stay current with threat landscape and enhance capabilities to prevent data exfiltration.
• Act as SME and trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and related standards.
• Coordinate with data protection teams and ensure alignment across functions.
• Contribute to standards and guidelines for security policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
