Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Data Loss Prevention Engineer to lead an enterprise-wide DLP program, shaping policy and rules to safeguard data. You will partner with cyber security teams and business stakeholders to drive strategy, roadmap, and a best-in-class DLP service.

The role requires deep experience in data loss prevention, information security, and the ability to influence across teams while ensuring regulatory compliance. Eligible for flexible work arrangements near hubs nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data loss prevention and information security.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build DLP policies and rules to protect data.
• Collaborate with Data Protection product owner to define intent and roadmap for DLP.
• Develop and manage Data Loss Prevention metrics and improve capabilities against exfiltration.
