Job summary

Vaco in Peachtree City, GA seeks a hands-on Division Controller to lead accounting and finance for a multi-site manufacturing division. This visible role will oversee plant controllers and division staff, strengthen the close and control environment, and partner across the business on spending decisions and process improvements.

You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, manage reconciliations, intercompany activity, and SOX controls, and work with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, close processes, inventory and cost accounting, SOX and internal controls.
• Excellent Excel, analysis, and financial-reporting skills with ability to translate data into business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany activity, and capital accounting.
• Maintain balance-sheet integrity across entities and plants with timely reconciliations.
• Maintain a robust SOX and internal-control environment with remediation and proper segregation of duties.
• Partner with operations, purchasing, engineering, IT, and finance on spending decisions and process improvements.
