Job summary

North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Judicial District Manager III to oversee probation/parole and community supervision operations in Mecklenburg County. You will supervise staff, manage fiscal and personnel policies, and coordinate district activities to ensure compliance and public safety.

You will develop staffing plans, review performance, and maintain CSAS security while coordinating with state partners and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of NCVIP processes and related approaches for employee development, including coaching, mentoring, discipline, and accountability methods.
• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in probation/parole or corrections administration in a technical or administrative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and coordinate administrative and program operations for probation/parole and community supervision in a small Judicial District.
• Supervise staff and handle personnel policies, retirement, benefits, and performance evaluations.
• Develop staffing plans to meet offender needs and ensure sanction compliance.
• Oversee contracts with placement agencies and maintain security clearances for CSAS.
• Lead liaison activities with DCS, public, and justice partners; travel as needed.
