Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Food Service Manager III to coordinate the operations of the Food Service Department at a multi-custody male facility in Raleigh. The role requires planning, directing, and supervising large-scale meals for offenders with complex needs, while overseeing budgets and staffing to ensure efficient service.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with extensive experience in institutional food service, plus leadership

Qualifications

• High School or GED plus six years of experience in institutional food prep and services, including management of a commercial food service operation, or three years as a Correctional Food Service Supervisor.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise the preparation and serving of food to offenders at a large complex facility.
• Manage fiscal and personnel operations of the Food Service Department and conduct investigations as needed.
