Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Assistant Judicial District Manager I (NS) in Henderson, NC. This internal posting requires leadership of CPPOs and clerical staff, with duties including audits, training, case coordination, and process improvement in the District 29 area.

Role involves managing staff, assisting the Judicial District Manager, and aligning with Evidence Based Practices and JRA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and four years in Probation/Parole or corrections administration.
One year as Chief Probation/Parole Officer or equivalent supervisory role.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina CJ Education & Training Standards Commission.
Experience interpreting policies and procedures related to probation, parole, or corrections.
Strong written and oral communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise CPPOs and clerical staff; audit caseloads and performance.
Train new CPPOs; assign cases and coordinate workflow.
Assist the Judicial District Manager in district operations and strategic goals.
Lead internal investigations and address disciplinary and performance matters.
Generate and review reports such as firearm inspections and inventory.
