Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
Professional Engineer registration may be required.
Ability to analyze and solve highway maintenance and construction problems.
Ability to read and interpret highway construction plans.
Ability to prepare and review reports.

Responsibilities

Oversee complex developments, encroachments, driveway permits, subdivisions and construction projects.
Lead coordination with developers, engineers and government entities as the point of contact.
Assist in administering programs such as Secondary Construction, Outdoor Advertising, Over Dimension Permits and Adopt A Highway.
Serve as Supervisor in the absence of the District Engineer.
Attend meetings with municipalities, developers and engineers on high-profile projects.
Represent the Department on technical issues and advise on policies and specifications.
